Most of the cricketing trends on Friday clearly revolved around the World Cup 2019. Windies met Pakistan in Match 2 of the tournament and this game created several headlines. Pakistan only managed to score 104 runs in this game – their second lowest score in a World Cup game and were completely outdone by a barrage of bouncers. Shahid Afridi and Dean Jones said that there is still hope left for the team and wanted the fans to keep backing them.

Ramiz Raja, on the other hand, expressed his frustration and added he didn’t know how to react to this batting performance. Azhar Ali had some words of motivation for his team. Former Windies pacer Ian Bishop was jubilated after this victory and tweeted that he didn’t expect the game to finish so quickly. Meanwhile, Michael Vaughan tweeted that he wouldn’t mind Windies lifting the World Cup in case England fails to do so.

Since there is a lot of time left for their first game, Team India members enjoyed an off-day. They were involved in a team bonding session and participated in several fun activities. Yuzvendra Chahal posted a picture on the social media platform with some of his teammates. Ravi Shastri also took it to Twitter to share a picture along with the other support staff as he spent some quality time in the woods.
