The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around the retirement of Alastair Cook and England’s series victory over India in Southampton. England most trusted and veteran opener Cook decided to hang his boots after the fifth and final Test match against India at the Kennington Oval in London. He will end his career with 161 Tests and he currently has 12254 runs in the longest format which are the most for his country and will end the career on a high.

Former England cricketer, his teammates and even the Indian cricketer congratulated the legendary cricketers for his 12-year successful international career. Vaughan was of the opinion that no other batsman has contributed to England cricket and thanked him for all the memories, while the Indian cricketers remembered his first century in Nagpur in 2006 and the cricketer has never looked back since then.
