As 2019 has begun, the new trend has also started on social media. #10YearChallenge is currently trending like anything as the prominent celebrities from different industries are busy posting their pictures and reflecting over the period of last 10 years. Even the cricketing fraternity is not behind as, if not the cricketers, their fans are busy creating some hilarious and admirable memes are going viral on social media platforms.
It goes without saying that MS Dhoni is at the top of this trend as well after finishing the game for India in Adelaide the other day. His finishing skills came to the fore after a long time and it was enough for the gimmicks to include his name in the new trend. Dhoni was undoubtedly at his best in 2009, exactly 10 years ago, and owned the aspect of finishing the matches.
Williamson and Kohli also in the line
Two of the most admirable cricketing personalities and captains of their teams, Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson, are the next in line. Kohli’s career is no less than inspiration as in 2009, he had only hit his first ODI century and ten years down the line, the 30-year-old is the captain of India with innumerable records to his name and most importantly has scored a total of 64 tons in his illustrious career.
Williamson, on the other hand, was also very admirable in 2009 when he represented the Black Caps in U19 World Cup and is now leading the Kiwis at the highest level. His batting records are there to speak and has just ended the 49-year drought of winning the Test series against Pakistan away from home.
The other people who became part of the trend were Ross Taylor, RP Singh, Stuart Broad, Afghanistan cricket team, Ellyse Perry and Marizanne Kapp among many.
