The 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League came to an end but the celebrations around it are not stopping anytime soon. The players of the victorious Chennai Super Kings lineup have been celebrating big time ever since they lifted the trophy this year. Coming in to the season, many had mocked them for roping in senior players like Harbhajan Singh, Shane Watson, and even MS Dhoni.

Well, the Men in Yellow proved the critics wrong with their stupendous show in the tournament. Talking about the performances, their skipper MS Dhoni led from the front. Dhoni had a herculean season with the bat. He aggregated 455 runs in the tournament and looked at his supreme best.

In some games, he also batted high up the order. Veteran cricketer Harbhajan Singh recently remarked that he was pleased to see Dhoni bat high in the batting order. As per the quotes in Sportstar, Harbhajan noted that the way Dhoni played in IPL 2018, it reminded him of the vintage Dhoni. Dhoni is truly a champion and even the team owners are hailing him after the brilliant season for CSK.

“He has been wonderful and it was good to see him batting up the order. He reminded me of the older version of Dhoni,” Harbhajan Singh quoted.

An excellent outing for the side

Commenting further on similar lines, Harbhajan Singh reflected back at the season as a great outing for the team. He cited that the fans of the Yellow Army have been very loyal and they deserved this win more than anybody else. He rued the fact that the Chennai Super Kings could only play one match in Chennai this year.

“It’s been a great outing for all of us. From the fans point of view, this is the best thing that has happened. They were waiting for CSK to come back and were very excited for the side,” the veteran cricketer remarked.
