The build-up to the mother of all clashes in the ICC Champions Trophy has been immense. Team India is set to take on Pakistan at Birmingham, Edgbaston on June 4. It will surely be a super Sunday for the cricket lovers. Expect the streets to be calm and all eyes glued to the television sets. While the build-up and the hype for the game has been immense, there could be a possible spoilsport in the match.

The weather in England has always been unpredictable. The most recent example of this was seen when the Trans-Tasman rivals Australia and New Zealand locked horns in the second match of the tournament. The match was called off due to rain. Now, the Indo-Pak clash is also under the threat of being washed out. Recent weather reports suggest that there are chances of showers throughout the day.

Intermittent rains, as it was seen in the case of the Australia-New Zealand match, is on the cards for the India v Pakistan match as well. There are no signs of bright sunshine as per the weather forecasts for the Sunday. Recently, team India were forced to practice indoors since the conditions were not apt enough to have an outdoor net session. The same could be the case in the match.

As the reports suggest, there are chances of rain in the early morning slot. Even if the rain subsides in the afternoon, the weather is expected to have the cloud covers throughout the day. This certainly is not a good prospect for the match that has so many people waiting eagerly for it.

Now, the fans and the players would only hope that the forecasts do not come true and the match gets underway eventually. Team India will want to continue their good run from the warm-ups in the tournament proper. On the other hand, Pakistan will aim consistency and balance in the match.
