Veteran South African pacer Dale Steyn is all set to return to competitive cricket after a long injury lay off. Steyn will be back in action in the Titans outfit. He was named in the Titans squad for the upcoming clash against the Knights in the Ram Slam T20 Clash. The match is scheduled to be played at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley on Wednesday. Steyn has been out of action for a long time and has missed the entire cricketing action this year.

Now, the 34-year old speedster is set to play under the captaincy of Albie Morkel in the T20 clash. The Titans squad already boasts of big names like AB de Villiers, Quinton de Kock, and Tabraiz Shamsi. In a conversation with the official website of the Titans, Dale Steyn mentioned that there are no massive expectations. He is only keen on feeling the good rhythm when he turns up for the match.

“I am ready to go. Yes, I haven’t played in a year, but there are no massive expectations. I am just looking forward to playing again and feeling part of the game. I’m not asking people to sit back and think I’m going to bowl at 150 kilometers per hour and that I’m going to take five wickets. If I can get through the game with minimal damage in terms of economy rate and pick up a wicket or two, that would be great,” quoted Dale Steyn. He also posted an update on the social media site Twitter expressing his excitement for the game.

Here is the tweet:

“Quality set up Professional Refreshing to be back at the Titans. Definitely leading the way in the domestic circuit,” he tweeted.

Titans Squad:

Aiden Markram, Quinton de Kock (wk), AB de Villiers, Dean Elgar, Henry Davids, Farhaan Behardien, Albie Morkel (c), David Wiese, Malusi Siboto, Junior Dala, Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi and Dale Steyn
