Rashid Khan continued to be a mysterious bowler for Ireland in the recently concluded ODI series which Afghanistan won. He was named the Man of the Series for picking eight wickets in three matches at an amazing average of 12 and it goes without saying that he was economical in all the matches. Meanwhile, England woman cricketer and his good friend Danielle Wyatt congratulated him and praised for his performance in the series.

Both the cricketers mostly enjoy having a conversation with each other on social media. Wyatt was also excited earlier to see the leggie play for Sussex in the T20 tournament. Rashid also played an important role for the Sharks in the T20 Blast and helped them qualify for the knockout stages for the first time since 2015.

Wyatt congratulates

Afghanistan thrashed Ireland by eight wickets in the deciding One-Day International on Friday and won yet another series against them. The victory was a testament to their continued progress at the highest level. Rashid Khan along with some of the other senior players was important for this series victory. After winning the Man of the Series award, the leg-spinner expressed his delight on his official Twitter handle and credited the team for the win.

Danielle Wyatt, however, was quick to respond him on his tweet and lauded him for his efforts with the ball. “Well bowled again,” she tweeted in praise of the Afghanistan superstar. Rashid more often than not is active on social media and he also thanked his cricketing friend for congratulating on winning the award.

Afghanistan lost only a solitary game on their tour to Ireland and it was the second ODI when they allowed the hosts to level the series. Their batting struggled most of the times and would be keen to improve in that aspect. The bowlers have been doing an exceptional job and they will need some runs from their batsmen.
