It is no secret that the cricketers of the modern era use social networking platforms to interact with their fans and on many occasions, the exchanges between fellow cricketers have gone viral on the internet. Recently, Virat Kohli’s comment on David Warner’s Instagram post had received a lot of traction from the cricket universe and now, English women’s player, Danielle Wyatt has stolen the limelight on the photo-sharing platform with her comment on Yuzvendra Chahal’s recent photograph with Rishabh Pant.
In case you did not know, the Indian cricketers have a massive fan following on social media which includes not only the fans but also a lot of players. Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is perhaps the darling of the cricket universe because everyone loves to pull his leg on social media. Right from Rohit Sharma to Virat Kohli, every player follows Chahal’s profile closely.
The Haryana-born player posed a photo with India’s wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant where the duo can be seen chilling in Auckland. England’s female player, Danielle Wyatt reacted to the same with a ‘star-struck’ emoji in the comments box. Supposedly, the Englishwoman was pretty amazed by the Instagram post.
Massive question mark over the future of Rishabh Pant in international cricket
On one side, the 21-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman is enjoying his time in New Zealand on the other, there is a big doubt over his future in international cricket. The emergence of KL Rahul as the team’s premier wicketkeeper-batsman has kept Pant on the bench. Since Rahul’s presence gives proper balance to the Indian team combination, even Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri have not tried to bring the Delhi Capitals star back in the Indian team.
Yuzvendra Chahal too has struggled to keep his place in the team as the team management is still unsure about their spin bowling options for the T20 World Cup.
Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal are competing for two spots with Washington Sundar being the wildcard in the race. It will be interesting to see which players make the final cut to the Indian T20I squad for the World Cup. Besides, Danielle Wyatt will look to make her mark in the upcoming international matches of the English team.
