The current situation amid the coronavirus outbreak has put all the sporting events at a halt. Be it football or cricket, fans are left with no sporting action to witness whatsoever. Amid such stern situation, cricketers are spotted spending more time on social media. Several cricketers have resorted to Instagram live or Twitter Q&A to keep interacting with their fans.

Meanwhile, many cricketers have also shared throwback photos and videos across their social media accounts. David Warner, the Australian stalwart, took it to his Instagram account on Wednesday to share a hilarious clip of him using his bat like a sword. The left-hander can be seen wielding his sword like Ravindra Jadeja for a commercial that Warner had shot for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Warner’s actions with his willow resembled with Ravindra Jadeja’s trademark celebration, which the Indian all-rounder never fails to flaunt after slamming a fifty or a century. Warner compared his performance with the bat with that of Jadeja and also asked his fans to state their opinion over the same.

Warner captioned the clip as: “Throwback to this time last year to a commercial we were doing for @sunrisershyd Do you think I have got @royalnavghan covered for the sword”.

David Warner was set to lead Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2020

Warner has been an integral part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) since 2014. The left-hander also steered them to their maiden IPL title in 2016 where the Orange Army trounced Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final of the tournament.

The Australian international was set to lead SRH in the thirteenth edition of the much-awaited Indian Premier League. However, with the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, the tournament was postponed to 15 April. But considering the current scenario across the globe, the possibility of the tournament to take place still remains a concern.

Several reports have also suggested that the tournament would be scrapped this year amid the pandemic. Warner, who is one of the most successful players to have played in the league, will be vying to steer SRH to another IPL trophy.
