Over the past few years, Australia opening-batter David Warner’s love for India is second to none. Add to that he, also has become Hyderabad’s famous son since the time he started playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

David Warner didn’t have the best of Indian Premier League

While Warner is enjoying his much-deserved break, things didn’t seem going pretty well for the former SRH captain in IPL. He was the designated captain in the 14th edition of IPL, but could not provide his team blazing starts upfront, which is generally seen from him. Things quickly went downhill for SRH and Warner as he was sacked from the captaincy.

This move created a lot of tension in the team environment and speculations were rife that all is not well for the franchise in Orange. Kane Williamson took over, and in a shocking move, Warner didn’t have a place in the playing XI as a player too. The IPL got suspended on May 04, with SRH languishing bottom of the points table.

With the second-leg of IPL set to resume in the UAE, all eyes will be on Warner to see if he returns to the SRH squad. Although he won’t be part of Australia’s tour to Bangladesh, his return to IPL too seem in doubt.
