India’s dreadful performance in the first Test gave Australia a series lead. The sub-continent team was beaten fair and square in Pune. The Test saw Australia win by a humongous 333 runs. This was one of the worst batting performances the Indian crowd had witnessed in some years.

There were a lot of opinions before the start of the series and a lot of predictions when it came to the winners of the series. Harbhajan Singh was one of them. He predicted that India will end beating Australia 4-0 and termed the Australian squad as one of the weakest to tour India.

The Turbanator said that this side won’t be able to cope up with the quality the current Indian side possesses and the conditions will be too harsh on them. “In my opinion, looking at the composition, this is the weakest Australian side to tour India. I don’t think this team has the wherewithal to cope with a quality Indian side in the Indian conditions. It can again be 4-0 like 2013 season,” said Harbhajan a few weeks back.

These words from the off-spinner from India were trolled to the rafters when Australia demolished India in the first Test. There were a lot of memes that were going around at the same time. Harbhajan even congratulated Steve Smith on his century and praised him. He tweeted “Take a bow @stevesmith49 that’s an outstanding inn on that pitch actually no pitch..where it looks difficult to play every ball..IndvsAus.”

He even congratulated the Australian squad for the same. He tweeted “Credit to @CricketAus 4 playing unbelievable well on tht wicket.let’s hope we play on good tracks frm here onwards nd get th right results.”
