David Warner has been a key component of the Australian team in the 2019 World Cup. Having scored 447 runs at 89.40, he is currently the leading run-scorer in the mega event to go with a couple of centuries and half-centuries apiece. In the last match, he smashed a superlative 166 versus Bangladesh at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Recently, the southpaw has gotten another delightful news.

The 32-year-old batsman is all set to be blessed with his third child in the coming weeks. David and his wife Candice are already parents to two children named Ivy Mae and Indi Rae. In the meantime, it has been learned that Warner won’t be missing any match to be present for the birth of his third child. The development was confirmed by Justin Langer, the head coach of the national team.

We’ll make sure it works out for everyone: Langer

“He won’t miss a match. That’s why Candice (Warner’s wife) has been over. It’s worked really well. She’s going to be in the hospital at the time, so hopefully, he doesn’t miss a match. But we’re all over that,” Langer was quoted as saying in cricket.com.au.

“I don’t like surprises, I wasn’t just going to turn up and go, ‘oh she might have a baby, we might miss Davey for the semi-final’. That’s what we try to do, always get win-win situations. We work together and we’ll make sure it works out for everyone. Hopefully, it will work out okay,” Langer added.

Australia, captained by Aaron Finch, is currently in a commanding position as far as the league stage is concerned. The Men in Yellow are currently placed second in the points table with 10 points from six matches. Their only defeat came versus Virat Kohli’s India at the Kennington Oval in London.

They are the defending champions and have played like one. Their next match is scheduled versus hosts England at Lord’s in London and another victory would almost help them qualify for the semis. The left-handed Warner is in jaw-dropping form and he’ll be looking for another knock of substance.
