Be it cricket, football or any other sport, professional athletes never shy away from getting tattoos that are significant or relatable to their career. A plethora of cricketers including Virat Kohli, Kevin Pietersen, Mitchell Johnson and KL Rahul have flaunted their tattoos while stepping on to the field.

In the concluded year, England’s Ben Stokes had also flaunted his both arms crammed up with tattoos all over them. Over the years, tattoos have become a style quotient and the recent joiner to the list is England’s premier pacer Jofra Archer.

Even though the speedster already had tattoos on his body, Archer got inked with a special tattoo on his ribs. Archer etched his name into the books by becoming England’s 693rd Test player, 83rd T20 player and 252nd ODI player. Getting the national call-up is indeed a prestigious and memorable fact for any aspiring cricketer. Earning a national cap is the ultimate aim for players and the 24-year-old decided to ink his national cap numbers over his ribs along with the England logo.

Jofra Archer has been ruled out of competitive action due to stress fracture

The Barbadian born pacer had recently shared a clip on TikTok in his quarantine time. In the video, Archer wore England Test attire and was fully equipped to step out and bat. However, as soon as he reaches near the lift of his house, Archer realizes that there is a lockdown in the country and so, he rushes back into his room. The whole world has been at a halt since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic and amid the lockdown period, many cricketers are busy in sharing hilarious clip for their fans.

24-year-old Archer is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects that England currently posses. The speedster took the world by storm by making his England Test debut at the Lord’s in the Ashes. Despite playing only 7 Test matches, Archer has proved his worth and has scalped 30 wickets including 3 five-wicket hauls. While donning the England jersey in 14 ODIs and a solitary T20I, Archer has scalped 23 and 2 wickets respectively.

The right-arm pacer was set to don the Rajasthan Royals jersey in IPL 2020, which was scheduled to start on 29th March. However, he was ruled out of competitive action for three months due to a stress fracture on his right elbow, denting his chances to participate in the league.

Due to the Coronavirus debacle, the much-awaited IPL was pushed back to April 15. But considering the current situation across the globe, the feasibility of the tournament is in jeopardy as reports have surfaced that the Indian government has suggested BCCI to cancel the tournament altogether and organize it when the situation improves.
