India skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni are seen working together when the Indian side is up against the opponents. Dhoni has been often seen passing words of advice to Kohli which has been even recorded on the stump mikes. However, in the IPL, the two good friends on and off the field are set to take on each other when Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings take on Kolhi’s Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday.

Former Indian captain and IPL commentator Sunil Gavaskar felt that the encounter between the two is like a match between a teacher and student. In a column written for Times of India, Gavaskar wrote that “You could call the match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Chennai Super Kings a game between the guru’s team and the shishya’s team. The guru, of course,e is the incomparable MS Dhoni and the shishya is the irrepressible Virat Kohli.”

Kohli wears emotions on his sleeve, Dhoni exact opposite: Gavaskar

Gavaskar in the column talked about MS Dhoni’s cool and composed nature. Gavaskar said that Kohli has made his international debut under MS Dhoni. Gavaskar wrote that MS Dhoni never loses his temper and that’s the reason he is called as Captain Cool. According to Gavaskar, Dhoni only shows emotion when a wicket falls or he stares once or twice to slow fielders and bad throws.

The former Indian captain was of the thought that  Kohli is the exact opposite of Dhoni who wears emotions on his sleeve. Gavaskar in the article mentioned that Kohli has been trying a lot to keep his emotions check as he doesn’t show a lot of frustration on dropped catches and misfields. Gavaskar also hoped that as time passes on, Kohli will grow as a skipper.

Gavaskar felt that with AB de Villiers in a great form If skipper Kohli gains his form which he had shown a couple of seasons back, it won’t be easy to beat the RCB
