He was part of the Rising Pune Supergiant (RSP) in the last edition, which was skippered by Dhoni. He has a reserve price of INR 20 lakh and will go under the hammer at the IPL auction this weekend.
Speaking to reporters after their match against Punjab at Eden Gardens, the youngster revealed, “It was a great learning experience from Dhoni. I not only shared the dressing room but his room as well – as anyone could walk into his room which remained open 24 hours. The medium-pacer added, “He takes utmost care of the juniors, doesn’t hesitate to join us on the dinner table. It helps the juniors so that they don’t develop a complex. I will look to play with him again.”
Dhoni provided important insights to Chahar
During the stint, the youngster received important advice from MS Dhoni. Chahar revealed Dhoni was aware his performance in the tournament would be watched by the IPL franchises and guided him accordingly.
Chahar returned with figures of 2/9 before limping off the field with a strain in their final Super League fixture.
