In India when wicketkeeper thoughts come in a fan’s mind, the first name that strikes is MS Dhoni. It’s been more than a decade that he has been the main man standing behind the stumps for India. But, after 2019 World Cup upset, he has ruled himself out from Team India’s selection.

Dhoni is not just one of the best captains but also the best glovemen that India has ever produced. He is not only known for being “captain cool” on the field but also his sharp glove work on the field has been a major factor in changing the outcomes in Team India’s favor during crucial moments.

Fans funnily react over ICC recent tweet

The fanbase of all-time skipper in India is no less than a superhero. And his fans recently reacted to an ICC tweet on picking the best wicketkeeper in the world. India is currently playing three-match Test series against South Africa with Wriddhiman Saha being their main keeper. In this series, the Bengal-born keeper looked exceptional behind the stumps and took some blinders. He was praised by the fans and cricketers for his skills.

During the 2nd Test, Wriddhiman Saha clinched Faf du Plessis catch with a full-fledged dive with his exceptional effort. In order to play a shot, the ball took a solid edge of du Plessis wooden sword and went in the air, and Indian gloveman intercepted it well. After a couple of juggles, he remained successful in taking it that dismissed the batsman.

ICC looked happy with the Saha’s fieldwork and posted a picture of him taking the South African’s skipper catch, with a caption, “Who is the best keeper in international cricket at the moment?”.

Here is the tweet from ICC:

The apex body would be in a thought that fans might pick any current wicketkeeper but that was not the case. And then Dhoni fans came into action in order to show the International Cricket Council who the best keeper is. 38-year-old has managed to get more than 600 catches for his side in his international stints.
