England outplayed India in both the departments in the third Test match and secured a victory by an innings and 76 runs. With the series levelled now, it will be intriguing to watch how the remaining matches unfold. However, the England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler won’t be available for the remainder of the series. The former England captain Michael Vaughan has suggested that Liam Livingstone should be included in the squad for the remainder of the Test series against India.

Livingstone has been in splendid form in the white-ball cricket lately. He smashed England’s fastest ever century during the T20I series against Pakistan and also had an impressive stint in the T20 Blast tournament for Lancashire and further exuded his flair in The Hundred as well. Livingstone was named the men’s MVP in The Hundred after starring for Birmingham Phoenix in the recently concluded competition. His current form tempted Vaughan to reckon his inclusion in the Test side.

Vaughan took it to Twitter to express his thoughts on the replacement of Jos Buttler. He wrote: “With @josbuttler missing the next Test I think I would have been tempted to give @liaml4893 a call-up… !! Anyway back to my bank holiday pint … #ENGvIND.”

His tweet attracted a lot of replies as the cricket on-lookers and fans too suggested their opinions on the same. The India collapsed in the first innings of the third Test as they were bundled up for just 78 runs. The visitors then conceded a massive lead that eventually fashioned England’s victory.

Jonny Bairstow will be taking responsibility for the glove work for the fourth Test. While on the other hand, Sam Billings has been included in the side as the replacement of Jos Buttler.
