England Women have already clinched the ongoing three-match series after taking an unassailable 2-0 lead over South Africa. The Three Lions put up a dominant all-round display in the first two games, giving the visitors no chance. South Africa, on the other hand, will look to end the tour with a win, having lost all three ODIs and the first two T20Is.

In the first T20I, South Africa were put to bat first and only managed to put up 111 runs on board in 20 overs. Laura Wolvaardt starred with the bat, scoring 55 off 49 balls. But the innings belonged to England’s talismanic pacer Katherine Brunt. England’s chase, led by opener Sophia Dunkley, was completed in only 15 overs.

In the second T20I, Sune Luus’s side was put to bat again, and openers Anneke Bosch and Lara Goodall added 102 runs for the first wicket, helping the team amass a total of 148. England chased it down in 19 overs, courtesy of a captain’s knock of 47 from Nat Sciver. From England’s perspective, they would want to finish unbeaten across all formats against their South African counterparts.

ENG-W vs SA-W Pitch Report

The County Ground in Derby is generally a tricky surface for batting. The average first innings total in the T20s on this ground is 133, and it is 106 in the second innings. The highest-ever total recorded here is 166, scored by England Women against West Indies Women. The team winning the toss must elect to bat first since chasing can be precarious on this surface.
