The impact of Virat Kohli in the world cricket is immense. His name is being discussed in Australia already despite the fact that the Indian team is scheduled to travel down under in December this year. The Indian skipper will be featuring in the five-match Test series from tomorrow and Australian media is trying its best to unsettle him ahead of the series by playing mind games before he travels to their country.

Kohli’s last tour to England was a miserable one as he was continuously dismissed outside the off-stump in all the 10 innings. James Anderson had exposed a major flaw in his technique and four years down the line, he has come back to the same country. He is now the best Test batsman in the world. But many believe he should score runs in England where the ball swings a lot to prove himself.

The Facebook page of Fox Sports, Australian media, on Monday, posted the video of Kohli’s all the dismissals in 2014 in England and termed poking at the delivery outside the off-stump as his favourite shot.

While it is true that the Indian captain is vulnerable while playing against the swinging ball, many have already written him off which is wrong. Though he has found support from the former Indian cricketers as they have backed Virat Kohli to score big in this series. However, the cricketer himself has cleared that he is not under any pressure at all and will enjoy batting in English conditions.

The head coach Ravi Shastri though has expressed confidence in his skipper and has termed him the best in the world. “Yes, he (Kohli) might have had an ordinary series when he came here four years ago. But four years down the line he is the best player in the world. And he would like to get out there and show the British public why he is the best player in the world,” he recently in a media interaction.
