Team India is sweating it out in the nets ahead of the fourth Test in Southampton as the visitors are keen to level the series and take it to the decider. They were also concerned about the fitness of Ravi Ashwin who sustained a groin strain injury during the third Test in the first innings. There were concerns over him playing in the next game and Ravindra Jadeja was tipped to return to the side after warming the bench so far.

According to the reports in Aaj Tak, India’s premier off-spinner has recovered from his injury and bowled a lot of overs in the nets on Tuesday which is a good news for the team. His presence in the playing XI will bolster their bowling line-up as well and he controls the game beautifully. This is being believed as the second coming for Ashwin who is often criticised for not bowling well overseas.

However, nothing has been made official by the team management but the news of Ashwin bowling in the nets must give the fans good vibes ahead of the crucial encounter.

Will Team India go unchanged?

All the eyes are now on Virat Kohli, the captain, who is yet to field the same side for the consecutive Test matches in his 39-Test captaincy tenure so far. The team finally found its perfect combination at Trent Bridge as they thumped England by 203 runs. The openers batted well in tough conditions and then the middle-order pounced on to dominate the proceedings.

The bowlers also endured a superb outing as they skittled the home side within a session with Hardik Pandya leading the way to pick his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests. The fourth Test will commence on August 30 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
