Windies Women finally showed some fighting spirit on their tour of England but it wasn’t enough for them to win the game. During the 2nd T20I, a big knock from Danielle Wyatt helped England Women finish on 180. Windies showed some intent with the bat which went missing in the ODI series. They were eventually restricted to 138/9. Anya Shrubsole would get her first taste of T20I captaincy as Heather Knight has been ruled out of the final T20I due to a hamstring injury.
The pacer took the charge during the 2nd T20I when Knight didn’t take the field. In her 133-match International career, Shrubsole led England only once so far – During an ODI in India last year which England lost by 1-wicket margin while Anya had poor time with the ball. She would be hoping for a better result this time around that could extend their 7-match T20I winning streak and 14 successive wins across all formats of International cricket.
The 3rd and final game of the 3-match T20I series between England Women and Windies Women will be hosted by the County Ground in Derby.
The match starts at 7:00 PM local time (6:00 PM GMT) (11:30 PM IST). The game will be live on Sky Sports Mix in England.
Last five completed T20I matches:
England Women: W, W, W, W, W.
Windies Women: L, W, W, W, L.
The recent most game hosted by the County Ground in Derby was between the hosts and touring Australia A team. Matthew Wade created havoc to chase down the target of 280+ runs. This venue has hosted only one Women’s T20 game since 2010. The Kia Super League game played here in 2017 witnessed Suzie Bates scoring a 72-ball 115. Yet another high-scoring game can be expected at this venue.
Probable Playing XIs:
Danielle Wyatt, Amy Jones, Tammy Beaumont, Sarah Taylor (WK), Natalie Sciver, Lauren Winfield, Katherine Brunt, Anya Shrubsole (C), Kate Cross, Sophie Ecclestone, Laura Marsh.
Bench – Jenny Gunn, Heather Knight, Fran Wilson, Linsey Smith.
Hayley Matthews, Britney Cooper, Stacy-Ann King, Stafanie Taylor (C), Chedean Nation, Kycia Knight (WK), Natasha McLean, Chinelle Henry, Afy Fletcher, Karishma Ramharack, Shamilia Connell.

Heather Knight has been ruled out of the final T20I.
Amy Jones has been in brilliant form recently as she scored at least 80 runs in four of the last seven matches she played across all formats. In the ODI series, Jones had scores of 91, 18 and 80 before a 37 in the 2nd T20I. She has scored 30+ in her last three T20I innings and cross 25 four times in last five innings.
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
The likes of Hayley Matthews, Amy Jones and Danielle Wyatt would be ideal options as the multipliers due to their batting position. Jones and Wyatt are in good form while Matthews could be picking up a wicket here and there.
Other Captain/Vice-Captain Options (in order) – Tammy Beaumont, Natalie Sciver, Stafanie Taylor, Katharine Brunt, Any Shrubsole, Afy Fletcher, Sarah Taylor, Kate Cross.
Suggested Playing XI No.1 for Fantasy Cricket:
Keeper – Amy Jones
Batters – Chedean Nation, Danielle Wyatt (C), Tammy Beaumont, Stacy-Ann King
All-Rounders – Hayley Matthews (VC), Stafanie Taylor, Natalie Sciver
Bowlers – Afy Fletcher, Katharine Brunt, Sophie Ecclestone
Suggested Playing XI No.2 for Fantasy Cricket:
Keeper – Amy Jones (C), Sarah Taylor, Kycia Knight
Batters – Tammy Beaumont, Stacy-Ann King (VC), Chedean Nation
All-Rounders – Hayley Matthews, Natalie Sciver
Bowlers – Anya Shrubsole, Katherine Brunt, Afy Fletcher
It is unlikely that more than one batter other than the openers will succeed for England Women in this game. The only chance would be if both the in-form players are dismissed which looks unlikely at the moment.
England Women are expected to thump Windies once again to seal the T20I series 2-0.
