The Royal Challengers Bangalore would be hoping to register yet another win when they face an in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 36 of IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on April 23. SRH are on fire having won all their last four games heading into the southern derby.

Ahead of the high-voltage clash this weekend, two of RCB’s batting superstars, skipper Faf du Plessis and Dinesh Karthik, were engaged in a hilarious social media banter. While Karthik has been the franchise’s savior this season, Faf roared back to form in the last match against Lucknow Super Giants where he was also adjudged the Player of the Match.

Royal Challengers Bangalore had shared a couple of images from RCB’s practice session featuring DK and Du Plessis playing lofted shots. Karthik quote tweeted with a caption, “Faf does it better”.

When this came to the Proteas cricketer’s notice he gave a savage reply to the Tamil Nadu cricketer saying, “I wish I could hit the ball as far as you bud…. one day when im big”
Faf du Plessis scored a 64-ball 96 in the last match against LSG after RCB suffered a top-order collapse and were reduced to 62/4 in the eighth over. This was his second half-century of the season and even though the veteran South African batter missed out on a well-deserved century, he ensured that he played a key role in propelling his team to a competitive total of 181/6.
Dinesh Karthik on the other hand has not only been Bangalore’s savior with the bat this season but has also been in the form of his life. He has so far amassed 210 runs from seven matches at a staggering strike rate of 205.88. The duo would yet again be expected to play match-defining knocks against the Orange Army, who eye a fifth straight win.
