Fakhar Zaman gets a delightful surprise from Imran Khan after scoring a double ton

Fakhar Zaman is the most talked about cricketer currently in Pakistan after his exploits in the recent Zimbabwe tour. He is already the hero of the nation for his match-winning century last year against India in the final of the Champions Trophy. But this tour was something special as the left-hander also smashed his maiden double-ton in the One-day Internationals. However, on his return to home, Fakhar was delighted to see a tweet from Imran Khan congratulating him on his achievement.

Both of them are at the peak of their fields right now and are enjoying their recent success. Imran Khan has been elected as the Prime Minister of Pakistan in the General Elections as his 22-year struggle in the political field didn’t go in vain.

Fakhar, on the other hand, had a memorable tour to Zimbabwe. The Men in Green won the T20I tri-series also involving Australia and then went on to whitewash the hosts in the five-match ODI rubber. He plundered a massive 515 runs in the 50-overs format at an average of 257.50 and was only dismissed twice. The aggressive batsman also became the fastest to reach the 1000-run mark in the ODIs.

Logs in to Twitter after months

Fakhar Zaman was showered with congratulatory messages on social media after he became the first Pakistan batsman to score a double century in the limited-overs format. Imran Khan, who was busy preparing for the upcoming elections then, also spared time and tweeted for him.

The 28-year-old, however, was unknown to all the messages and logged in to his official Twitter handle after a long time on Friday. He was surprised to see the tweet from the to be Prime Minister of Pakistan and in turn, also congratulated Imran and his party for their resounding victory in the elections.
