India endured a major loss on Thursday as one of the most respected politicians and the former Prime Minister of the country Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away. The whole country including the cricketing fraternity mourned his death and paid a tribute to him on social media platforms. Even the Indian team players who are currently in England expressed their grief over his demise. However, the captain Virat Kohli was an exception who preferred to promote ‘Wrogn’ brand instead and has irked his fans and followers.

Vajpayee, 93, breathed his last exactly at 05:05 PM according to the statement released by AIIMS where he was admitted since June 11 this year. A Bharat Ratna awardee was one of the most reputed political leaders and a three-time PM of India. He had retired from active politics after 2004 with declining health and the whole country was praying for him as it things worsened earlier this week.

The people of India were deeply mourning his passing away only a day after the whole country celebrated its 72nd independence day. Virat Kohli posted a tweet promoting the brand ‘Wrogn’ at a completely wrong time only to irk everyone. He has often been criticised for his promotional tweets on Twitter and this time it was no different. While it is nothing wrong in promoting brands, he should’ve also mourned the demise of such a huge personality.

The fans’ reaction was natural on his post as they lashed out at him for his actions. While many strictly asked him to stop promoting brands at least on such a sad day in the history of the country, few were of the opinion that he must not even know about the death of the former Prime Minister. However, he later tweeted and mourned the loss of both Vajpayee and Ajit Wadekar.

Meanwhile, Kohli is currently gearing up for the upcoming third Test against England in Nottingham which will commence on Saturday.
