MS Dhoni hasn’t played a game since the World Cup semi-final against New Zealand and the speculations over his retirement continue to grow. Soon after the mega event, he made himself unavailable for the West Indies and served the Indian Army. The veteran returned from Army duty after August 15 and was unavailable for selection ahead of South Africa T20Is.
The suspense over his retirement continues to grow and Virat Kohli’s recent post has left the fans wondering if the announcement of the same will be made soon. Kohli, on Thursday, posted a picture of him and Dhoni after a memorable win over Australia in the World T20 2016.
Kohli had scored a superb 82* in that game and had also stitched an unbeaten match-winning partnership with his skipper. Rather the match is still remembered for the duo’s running in the demanding conditions.
He made me run like in a fitness test
Virat Kohli, in his tweet, also highlighted the way MS Dhoni made him run hard as the scoring wasn’t easy on the pitch. Eventually, India chased down from almost an improbable position to stay alive in the tournament. However, the timing of the tweet has attracted the fans’ attention.
The match took place in March 2016 and many were left their scratching their heads. Neither the post is about the throwback or come in the ‘On This Day’ category which is trending these days. But Virat Kohli seemed to have specifically tweeted for MS Dhoni which has led to more speculation about the latter’s retirement.
“A game I can never forget. Special night. This man, made me run like in a fitness test @msdhoni,” Kohli tweeted.
It remains to be seen though if MS Dhoni is actually retiring from the game as the reports had earlier surfaced that he will be mentoring Rishabh Pant and will stay around team India for a while without playing.

Don't think MS Dhoni will return to international cricket and we may not see him play for India again. Will be disappointing for fans but not shocking since the Dhoni we know hardly runs for glare and limelight , even in retirement , I expect him to smile and wrap things up.
