Bangladesh will be up against New Zealand in the 2nd Test match of the New Zealand tour of Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur from December 6. The two-match test series is currently being led 1-0 by Bangladesh and would be keen on winning this match as well to clean sweep the series while New Zealand would be playing to level the series.
Both these teams had squared off against each other in their last encounter, which was held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, where Bangladesh had won the toss and elected to bat. Mahmudul Hasan Joy gave a brilliant start to the Bangladeshi innings with the help of some other batters and took the team to a total of 310 runs. Kane Williamson, as usual, took the lead from his side with his brilliant century. He was aided with handy knocks by Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips, which helped them post a good total of 317 runs, hence getting a seven-run lead in their first innings.
Bangladesh lost two wickets early in their second innings, but a solid 90-run stand for the third wicket brought solidity to their team. It was followed by another fantastic partnership of 98 runs for the fourth wicket, which sent Bangladesh into the driving seat. Shanto’s century helped Bangladesh post a huge target of 332 runs for the Kiwis. New Zealand too, similar to their opponents, did not start well. However, they lacked solidity from their middle order, which the Bangladeshi team had. Other than Daryl Mitchell, no other player could contribute significantly, which led them to losing the game by 150 runs.

Player Picks
Taijul Islam BAN | BOWL
Taijul was rightly awarded Player of the Match for his performance in the last match and should be captain of your side as well. He scalped as many as 10 wickets in the last game.
Nazmul Hossain Shanto BAN | BAT
Shanto was the one to accumulate the most runs in the previous game. He amassed a total of 142 runs at a strike rate of 60.94, which included a match-winning century.
Kane Williamson NZ | BAT
Williamson is the back-bone for the Kiwi side, and he has been doing his job well. He scored 115 runs in the last game and could be another captain in your fantasy team.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Tom Blundell
NZ | WK
Blundell kept the wickets in the last game but could not contribute much other than that. He can be left out of your fantasy team.
Tom Latham
NZ | WK
Latham has not been in good form for a while now. He should not find a place in your fantasy side.
