Barmy Army Women will lock horns with Tornadoes Women in the 8th match of the Fairbreak Global Women’s T20 at the Kowloon Cricket Club in Kowloon on April 8. Barmy Army Women have played two matches so far in the tournament, winning and losing a match each. They are present in the fourth position in the standings. On the other hand, Tornadoes Women lost their first game and are currently placed in the fifth position in the standings. 

Barmy Army Women squared off against Falcons Women in their last game, where Falcons Women won the toss and elected to bowl. They had a brilliant start and were scoring at a brisk pace. Although, they got slower after losing the first wicket and kept losing wickets regularly. They managed to post a total of 143 runs for the loss of six wickets by the end of the first innings. The Falcons also had a fabulous start, as both their openers were in good form. But similar to what had happened in the first innings, as the pitch got slower, the runs were hard to come, and they started to lose wickets regularly. Eventually, Barmy Army won the match by nine runs.

Tornadoes Women went on against Falcons Women as well in their last encounter, where Tornadoes won the toss and elected to bowl. They had a rather slow start and lost a wicket early as well. There were several small but important partnerships dwelling even though they were losing wickets. Some important knocks from the middle order helped Falcons post a total of 150 runs. Tornadoes had the worst of the possible starts as they lost both their openers on duck. Sune Luus tried to defy that and played a brilliant innings but could not help his team win the match. The Falcons won the match by 41 runs.
