Chepauk Super Gillies had played against Salem Spartans in their last encounter, where Chepauk Super Gillies won the toss and elected to bat. They started in a brilliant manner as they scored 91 runs for the first wicket in nine overs. They did not stop there and had further significant partnerships in the middle overs as well.
