Islamabad United (ISL) and Peshawar Zalmi (PES) will face each other in the 29th match of the Pakistan Super League 2023 on Sunday (March 12) at the Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi. This will be the first game of the last double-header this season. The United have won six out of nine games this season and have already qualified for the playoffs. They lost the previous match against the Lahore Qalandars by a massive margin of 119 runs after winning three games on the trot. The Qalandars posted a total of 226 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs and then restricted the United to just 119 runs. Fakhar Zaman, who made his maiden century this season, won the Player of the Match award.

The Zalmi have won four out of nine games and are placed in the fourth position currently. They will be closely watching the 28th match on Saturday between Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans. The Gladiators have won three out of nine games, and a win by a decent margin in their last match might be enough for them to spoil the Zalmi’s chance to make it to the qualifiers. If that happens, Zalmi will have to win this game to reach ten points.

The Zalmi are coming into this game after losing their previous two encounters. In the previous match, Multan Sultans chased down the record target of 243 runs in 19.1 overs with four wickets in hand.
