Karachi Kings (KAR) will take on Islamabad United (ISL) in the 15th match of the Pakistan Super League 2024 on Wednesday (February 28) at the National Stadium in Karachi. Both teams have faced each other in 20 matches so far. The Kings have managed to win just six games out of them. They last won a game against the United during PSL 2020. The Kings have won two out of three matches and are in fourth place. The United have won just one out of four matches and are in fifth position.

The Kings faced Lahore Qalandars in their last match and elected to bowl after winning the toss. The Qalandars posted a total of 175 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Mir Hamza, Hasan Ali, and Tabraiz Shamsi took two wickets each. The Kings didn’t have a great start and lost four wickets inside the Powerplay overs. Shoaib Malik and Kieron Pollard added a crucial 95 runs for the fifth wicket which changed the course of the match. The Kings reached the target if 176 runs on the last delivery of their innings and won the match by two wickets. Pollard scored 58 runs off 33 deliveries and won the Player of the Match award.

The United took on Peshawar Zalmi in their last match and elected to bowl after winning the toss. Babar Azam scored scored 111 runs off 63 deliveries and helped the Zalmi post a total of 201 runs for the loss of five wickets. Shadab Khan was the picke of the bowlers for the United and took two wickets for 28 runs in four overs. The United lost their first three wickets for 73 runs. Collin Munro and Azam Khan added 108 runs for the fourth wicket before Azam was dismissed. The innings got completely derailed after his dismissal and the United lost the next four wickets for just two runs. Ultimately, they could manage only 193 runs for the loss of nine wickets and lost the match by eight runs.
