London Spirit (LNS) will lock horns with Northern Superchargers (NOS) in the 24th match of the Hundred 2023 at the Lord’s in London on August 18. London Spirit have won just one of their five matches and are in the seventh position. On the other hand, Northern Superchargers have won two of their five matches and are in the third position.
London Spirit had played against Oval Invincibles in their last match, where Oval Invincibles won the toss, and they elected to bat. Invincibles started brilliantly with an opening stand of 79 runs, and the partnerships which were followed by it were also equally brilliant. A good day on the field from their batting unit meant they posted a huge total of 189 runs. London Spirit did not back off from the chase and made a fantastic opening stand of 94 runs. They quickly lost a couple of wickets, pushing them back a little, but they managed to jump back again. The match got extremely interesting in the end, and Oval Invincibles managed to win by a bare margin of two runs.
Northern Superchargers had squared off against Manchester Originals in their last encounter, where Manchester Originals won the toss, and they elected to bat. Due to the rain, the match was reduced to 90 balls a side. Originals did not start well, losing both their openers cheaply but had a few fantastic partnerships from the middle order, due to which they were able to put up a strong total of 182 runs. Superchargers started well with their chase, but the middle order did not follow the game set up by the top order, and hence by the end, they could only score 141 runs and lost the match by 40 runs.

Player Picks
Reece Topley NOS | BOWL
Topley has been wreaking havoc on opposition batters scalping away 10 wickets in just five matches. He can even bat when needed and is probably the best option to lead your team.
Tom Banton NOS | WK
Banton has looked to be in good touch this season with a total of 137 runs scored in four innings of five matches he has played. He is brilliant behind the stumps as well and would be a fine choice for captaincy roles.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Brydon Carse
NOS | BOWL
Carse has failed to create much impact with his performances so far in the tournament. He should not find a place in your team.
Michael-Kyle Pepper
LNS | WK
Pepper has been able to score just four runs so far having played in two matches. He should not be picked up in your team.
