Neal had squared off against Netherlands in their last match where Netherlands won the toss and elected to field. The Nepali batters tried, but could not really play the type of knock that was required. The highest run scorer was the captain Rohit Paudel who scored 33 runs. The team got all out at 167 runs. Netherlands with their brilliant start, kept the match in their control. With the loss of just three wickets, they chased the score and won the match by seven wickets with 137 balls remaining. 
United Arab Emirates had played against Ireland in their last encounter where UAE won the toss and went in to field. The third wicket partnership between P Sterling and the Ireland skipper A Balbirnie was of massive 184 runs. The team lost just four wickets, but made a massive score of 349 runs. UAE started their chase decently, with the falls of wickets at regular intervals and the slow run rate, led to the team scoring just 211 runs in their inning. And thus UAE lost the match by 138 runs.
