The returning veteran Kusal Perera scored an unbeaten 53, and Charith Asalanka ended his poor form by smashing 67 off 41 to help Sri Lanka score 196/5 while batting first. The experienced all-rounder James Neesham took two wickets, while debutant Henry Shipley bagged one on his T20I debut.

Kusal Mendis SL | WK
The star wicketkeeper-batter started explosively in the first T20I match by smashing 25 off just nine. Mendis struggled in the ODIs against the Kiwis but has been in a good format in T20Is lately.
Daryl Mitchell NZ | ALL
The star batting all-rounder continued his red-hot form as he top-scored with 66 off 44 in the first T20I. Daryl was excellent in the ODIs as well, with 53 runs and five wickets from two innings and will be a safe captaincy choice on the Dream11 Team.
Kusal Perera SL | WK
The veteran wicketkeeper-batter smashed an unbeaten 53 off 45 on his return to international cricket. Kusal has scored two fifties in his last three T20 innings and will be a key batter for his team on Wednesday,
