Paarl Royals (PR) will take on Joburg Super Kings (JSK) in the eliminator of SA20 2024 on Wednesday (February 7) at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. The Royals finished in third place with five wins and five losses in 10 matches. Super Kings won three out of 10 matches and were in fourth place.
The Royals faced Sunrisers Eastern Cape in their last match and elected to bat after winning the toss. They scored 159 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Jos Buttler was the highest scorer for the team and made 38 runs off 22 deliveries. Eastern Cape reached the target of 160 runs in 19.5 overs with five wickets in hand.
The Super Kings locked horns against Durban Super Giants in their last outing and elected to bowl after winning the toss. Super Giants posted a total of 203 runs for the loss of six wickets with the help of half-centuries from JJ Smuts and Wiaan Mulder. Lizaad Williams was the pick of the bowlers and took three wickets for 47 runs in four overs. Faf du Plessis and Leus du Plooy scored half-centuries each for the Super Kings. Donovan Ferreira scored a six on the penultimate delivery to seal the game for his team.
