Sri Lanka (SL) will be up against Afghanistan (AFG) in the 1st T20I of the Afghanistan tour of Sri Lanka at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla on February 17. They easily cruised to the win by nine wickets with more than nine overs to spare. Sri Lanka completely dominated the game.

Afghanistan squared off against India in their last encounter, where India won the toss and elected to bat. India had a decent start but was soon in trouble as they lost four of their batters within no time. Skipper Rohit and Rinku joined hands for the fourth wicket and they absolutely batted Sri Lanka out of the game as they had an unbeatable stand of 190 runs and posted a huge total of 212. Afghanistan started brilliantly in reply as all their top-order batters scored fifties each. Nabi’s experience took the match to the Super Over where it was tied again and another Super Over was played where India finally nailed the win.
