Sri Lanka (SL) will be clashing against Afghanistan (AFG) in the only Test at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo, starting on Friday, February 2.
Sri Lanka will be led by Dhananjaya de Silva in the one off Test with Ramesh Mendis and Prabath Jayasuriya part of the spin attack. Dimuth Karunaratne, Nishan Madushka, Kusal Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews and Sadeera Samarawickrama are part of the batting line-up.
Asitha Fernando and Kasun Rajitha are likely to form the pace battery. This will be the first time Sri Lanka is taking on the Afghanistan side in the longest format of the game.
On the other hand, Afghanistan will be without Rashid Khan, who is rehabilitating after his back surgery. In his absence, Qais Ahmad will be taking over the spin duties alongside Zahir Khan. With exceptional batting and bowling talent on their side, Afghanistan would be looking to start the tour on a high.
