Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the fourth game of the Indian Premier League 2023 on Sunday (April 2) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Sunrisers bid adieu to a lot of players after finishing in the 8th place in the points table last season. The released players consisted of some big names, including the former skipper Kane Williamson. SRH made a total of 13 signings during the mini-auction last year. They picked Aiden Markram as the captain after his successful stint with the sister franchise, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, in SA20. Sunrisers will miss their Proteas contingent, including the skipper, for this game as they are busy playing against the Netherlands in the ODI series, on which their qualification to the ODI World Cup of this year depends.

Rajasthan Royals finished as the runner-up last season and delivered an excellent performance with both the bat and ball. Jos Buttler went on to clinch the orange cap, while Yuzvendra Chahal won the purple cap. The Royals have not made significant changes to the squad and only filled the gaps from last season. They picked Jason Holder at the mini-auction and had to shell out INR 5.75 crores for him. Holder can play the role of finisher and bowl at any point of the game. Apart from his inclusion, the playing 11 might remain the same as we saw for the maximum part of the tournament last year.

Player Picks
Jos Buttler RR | WK
The English wicketkeeper-batter was the leading run-scorer in the Indian Premier League last season. He finished at the top of the run-scoring list in the recently concluded SA20. Buttler is one of the four batters who have scored more than 2000 runs in T20s since 2022.
Rahul Tripathi SRH | BAT
The 32-year-old batter was the second-highest run-scorer for SRH last season and scored 413 runs in 14 games at an average of 37.54 and a strike rate of 158.23, including three half-centuries. He won the Player of the Match award in two of the four games SRH won last year.
Harry Brook SRH | BAT
The 24-year-old batter made his international debut last year and is regarded as one of the best batters in the current generation. He has scored over 1200 runs since 2022 at an average of 46.92. He has made a century and three half-centuries in his last five overall innings.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Joe Root
RR | BAT
The former English captain found his home in the IPL for the first time when Rajasthan Royals made a bid for him in the mini-auction. However, it will be hard for him to break into the Royals’ playing 11 for the initial part of the league.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
SRH | BOWL
He has managed to pick up just two wickets in his last five outings and is not in the best of his form. In addition, he will also be captaining the side in this game; hence, it will be better to leave him out of your fantasy team for this game.
