Salem Spartans had played against Dindigul Dragons in their last encounter, where Salem Spartans won the toss and elected to bat. Choosing to bat did not go much in their favour as they lost two wickets already for the score of 24 runs. There were some decent partnerships, although no one achieved a huge individual score. They managed to reach a total of 124 runs at the expense of eight wickets. The Dragons had a horrible start, but a few partnerships kept them on track. Although it did not prove to be enough, and by the end of the innings, they could only score 106 runs which meant Salem Spartans won the match by 18 runs.

Chepauk Super Gillies had played against Lyca Kovai Kings in their last encounter, the final match of the last edition of this tournament, where Chepauk Super Gillies won the toss and elected to field. The match was reduced to 17 overs a side due to the rain, and the Kings did not start well with their innings. A good second-wicket partnership brought them back to the track. Sai Sudarshan played a brilliant knock of 65 runs off 42 balls, bringing them back into the game and helping them post a decent total of 138 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Gillies also had a horrible start to their chase, where they had lost two wickets just for the score of 14. However, the rain returned, and the match could not be resumed. This ultimately led to the match being drawn and both teams sharing the trophy.
