Chamari Athapaththu scored an unbeaten 77 runs off 53 deliveries for the Thunder and won the Player of the Match award.

The Strikers overcame Sydney Sixers in their last outing and won by seven wickets after chasing down the target of 123 runs in 17.3 overs. Skipper Tahlia McGrath played a crucial role with both bat and ball and was rewarded with the Player of the Match award. She picked up two wickets for 21 runs in three overs and scored 38 runs off 35 deliveries.
