Hilton Cartwright emerged as the top-scorer for the Stars, making a valuable contribution of 47 runs off 30 deliveries. His innings played a crucial role in helping the Stars reach the target of 155 runs in 19.3 overs, securing a four-wicket victory. Cartwright's impactful performance earned him the well-deserved Player of the Match award.

Thunder faced Brisbane Heat in their last outing, where the Heat won the toss and elected to bat. Nathan McSweeney played a crucial knock of 73 runs off 52 deliveries for the Heat. He was the only batter who made over 40 runs for the team. Heat posted a total of 172 runs before getting bundled out in 19.4 overs. Daniel Sams was the pick of the bowlers for the Thunder and took a fifer, his first in BBL as well as his T20 career.

In reply, Thunder could make only 157 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 15 runs. Cameron Bancroft was the highest scorer for the team, with 46 runs off 39 deliveries. Xavier Bartlett took three wickets for 24 runs in four overs. McSweeney won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.
