Former Indian cricketer and expert Lalchand Rajput has picked his Indian spin attack for the upcoming 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup slated to be played later this year. To note, the Men in Blue will take on the arch-rivals Pakistan in their first match of the tournament and will want to earn redemption, having lost to Pakistan in the previous T20 World Cup.

Speaking on the official Youtube channel of Crictracker, Rajput made some excellent picks in the spin department for the Men in Blue. It must be noted that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selectors will have some major headache to tackle as several Indian spinners are doing well in the ongoing IPL 2022. However, the Australian tracks aren’t traditional known to assist spinners.

Speaking on the official Youtube channel of Crictracker, the veteran player named Ravindra Jadeja as his first choice spinner. The 60-year-old also named Yuzvendra Chahal and emphasized the fact that there will be a choice to be made to pick either Ravichandran Ashwin or Washington Sundar. However, Rajput said that Ashwin might get selected due to his experience.

Similarly, the former right-handed batter also said that there will be a toss-up between Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. However, the former Indian cricketer said that Kuldeep might be selected due to his variety in bowling.  He also said that the bowling combination of Kuldeep and Chahal (KulCha) might be effective due to the long boundaries in Australia.

For the unversed, Chahal and Kuldeep have been sensational in the ongoing IPL and ignoring either of them would be hard for the selectors. While Chahal has scalped a total of 22 wickets in just 11 outings, Kuldeep has been excellent for his new franchise Delhi Capitals, taking 18 wickets in 11 matches.

Meanwhile, left-arm spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel have been bowling decently as well and the BCCI will have their task cut out to finalize the spin department of the Indian team for the all-important T20 World Cup.
