Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and former cricketer Imran Khan have tied the knot for the third time, this time with a lady named Bushra Maneka, reported ARY News on Sunday. Pictures of Imran Khan, sitting next to a woman at what could be a possible wedding ceremony, have surfaced on the social media. Mufti Saeed, who had performed the ceremony for Khan’s second marriage with TV anchor Reham Khan, did the job once again, this time for the former pacer’s third marriage which was held in Lahore. His third wife, reports add, is also his spiritual advisor.

Khan had first tied the knot with Jemima Goldsmith in 1995, a relationship that ended in divorce in 2004 after nine years. His second marriage with did not even last a year. Last month, the cricketer turned politician had made headlines when he tweeted to his supporters, asking them to pray he finds personal happiness which, except for a few years, he has been deprived of.

“Marriage is the combination of two hearts and two souls, which join each other on this special day of your wedding. Wishing you two a very happy and blessed married life!” PTI Information Secretary Fawad Chaudhry tweeted.

“To set the record straight, Mr. Khan proposed marriage to Ms. Bushra Maneka, but Ms. Maneka asked for time to make a final decision after consulting her family, including her children,” a statement from Khan’s political party had previously stated.

Imran the cricketer

As reported by the Dawn newspaper, Bushra Maneka is in her 40s and hails from the Wattoo clan. She was previously married to Khawar Farid Maneka, a senior customs official in Islamabad.

Talking of Imran the cricketer, he is unarguably the best cricketer to emerge from Pakistan, and also probably the world’s second-best allrounder after Garry Sobers. Pakistan was completely transformed under him as he led them to the World Cup title in 1992.
