From Yes he Can to Can YOUWECAN?: Yuvraj Singh who has been awarded with the Padma Shri, is one of the best all-rounders India has ever produced. A left handed middle order batsman and slow left arm orthodox bowler can demoralise the opposition with both of his roles. He performed exceptionally as an all-rounder in 2007 T20 world cup and in the 2011 world cup in which he was also named the player of the tournament with 362 runs and 15 wickets by his name are the reasons why we all love him.

Yuvraj has played 293 one day internationals for India and has scored 8329 runs with breath taking performances and self-less attitude. His huge sixes and ability to make quick runs has mesmerized us all. Each and every performance and shot is still fresh in the minds of his fans. Being a Punjabi boy, he stands 6ft tall and is always up with mischievousness and setting a chilled-out environment in the dressing room, ‘the prankster’ they call him.

In the 2014-15 Ranji trophy season, he scored 671 runs in 7 matches with an average of 55.91 for Punjab. During this season, he also scored 3 quick fire back to back centuries making his critics realize that he will always be a champion. Yuvi has proved his caliber in the domestic circuit aiming and eyeing for the team India comeback. Unfortunately, he was not picked up for the 2015 world cup squad and this was very disappointing for Yuvi as well as for his fans. They’ve all wanted to see him back in the Indian colors and were eager to see him score for India again. He was striking the ball from the middle of the bat and surely deserved a place in the team.

Meanwhile, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs. 16 crores and this showed the faith and interest the franchise had in him. Yuvraj Singh cannot be neglected by anyone in the cricketing world. His talent and reputation makes everyone talk about him. In the previous IPL seasons, he has played for Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors India, for Royal Challengers Bangalore and now for Delhi Daredevils. He scored 894 runs for KIXP in his 43 matches. He was having a good time with them but was dropped only to be picked by PWI and the southpaw showed how good he was by making 548 runs in the 2 seasons he played with them.

He missed the 2012 IPL because of his illness. Yuvi was picked by RCB in 2014 for 14 crores; being the costliest auctioned player and scored 376 runs with ease. The current IPL season did not turn out to be lucky for Yuvraj as he has managed to score only one half-century against the Mumbai Indians.

Despite of the failures, he is looking fresh and energetic and wishes to play well under the guidance of Gary Kristen, the DD coach. Gary who was also the coach of the Indian team and had helped the left-hander in the 2011 world cup. The coach and player share a very good bond similar to a teacher and student relation. Yuvraj respects him a lot and will surely make a comeback under his guidance. Though he has been facing a lot of criticism, he has not given up the dream of playing for India again. His form during the IPL and in 2014 T20 world cup is completely un-understandable and disheartening.

He is definitely feeling the heat of criticism and is under pressure which is making things difficult for him and for the team. The pressure can be sensed on the field as well, it is not usual that Yuvraj Singh drops a regulation catch and along with that he seems to have lost enthusiasm while fielding. He has to gather his wandering thoughts and focus on only one thing- comeback. He has to start afresh and work hard and score runs regularly to have all eyes on him again. He needs to look after his fitness levels and be agile and athletic on the field.

Another worrying aspect for Yuvraj is the allegations his father has imposed in Dhoni and has blamed him for Yuvi’s degraded fame and termed him the factor behind his son not being a part of the Indian team. Though we don not claim to know the fact but it is unacceptable on the part of Yograj Singh to go out in the media and claim such things, the son took to twitter instantly and distanced himself from his fathers comments. Though Yuvi has cleared it out that he has no issues with Dhoni, but such talks are only going to affect Yuvi and make things difficult for his comeback.

Yuvraj Singh is still a champion and will continue to be one in the hearts of his fans. We all have an eye on Yuvi’s comeback; it is hard to keep him out of the cricketing circuit and team India when he gets going. All he needs to do is to punch up his confidence and score some runs to get in the reckoning once again. The team definitely misses a mischievous, playful lad who lightens up everyone’s mood. Knowing Yuvraj Singh’s positive attitude, we are sure that YOUWECAN!
