The Indian captain Virat Kohli has been on roll this year, be it his consistent hundreds or winning series after series. His hunger for scoring runs and winning games for the country keeps on just increasing. Which is why TV host and presenter Gaurav Kapoor, who recently shot his show called ‘Breakfast with Champions’ with the Indian skipper, described Kohli’s energy and work ethics are completely at a different level.

He also explained the reason why Virat and his teammate Yuvraj Singh call each other ‘sister’. Gaurav mentioned that there is no back story to it. It is only due to the strong bonding that the duo share on the field and off the field.

A Delhi boy with the toughest job

Gaurav narrated the whole story mentioning that while talking to Virat, he asked him that is he the old local Delhi boy or a post-match gentleman. The anchor also revealed that Kohli had called him up the previous night before the interview and then Gaurav replied calling him ‘sister’. After this incident, Yuvraj, Gaurav and Virat now call each other sisters.

“And he is our Delhi boy. So when I spoke to him on the show, I asked him if the one sitting was a Delhi boy or a post-match gentleman. The previous night, a laughing Virat Kohli called me up. So I asked him, ‘What happened sister?’. Now, Yuvraj, me and Virat call each other sisters and it’s an old thing. No story behind it. We call each other sisters as we think their bonds are stronger than brothers,” said Gaurav in a conversation with RadioCity as quoted by the Mid-day.

The TV presenter also stated that being the Indian captain is the toughest jobs in the country and its very difficult to meet the expectations of thousands of people, every time you enter the cricket field.

“Absolutely, the job he has that of the Indian cricket team captain, is one of the toughest jobs in the country. You could say, on one half is the Indian Prime Minister and the other, the Indian cricket team captain. You see, every man in India, may not be a film of political expert, but is definitely an expert on cricket. Imagine you being the team captain and the amount of pressure on you,” he concluded.
