The pollution in the national capital has started reaching the cricket field as Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP party claimed that MP and Lok sabha member Gautam Gambhir opted for his enjoyment over Delhi‘s high-level meeting that was called in order to discuss the issue of air pollution level prevailing in the city. And, the former Indian cricketer has come up with a fitting reply against the opposition party.

Actually, Gautam Gambhir is currently in Indore and was involved in the commentary of the 1st Test between India and Bangladesh. But, at the same time, he was due to attend a political meet in Delhi. However, he chose to go on with his cricket related work.

This brought him under the scanner of the AAP political party. And, they started criticizing the former World Cup winner on social media for being a notable absentee in an important meeting.

VVS Laxman’s Twitter activity brings Gautam Gambhir under the scanner of AAP

It all started when VVS Laxman, the former Indian middle-order batsman took to his Twitter handle and shared a picture, with a caption, “Kabhi pohe se teekhe, kabhi jalebi se meethe … wonderful start to the day in Indoor, where we had breakfast outdoor,”. In that still, Gambhir along with his former teammate was spotted eating Jalebis (Indian sweet) and enjoying the moment.

When this post of VVS Laxman was caught on the eyes of the AAP party officials, they quickly came up with a post taking a dig at the 38-year-old MP of Delhi, and wrote, “Delhi is choking & @GautamGambhir is busy enjoying in Indore. The MP should come to Delhi and ATTEND MEETINGS on AIR POLLUTION which was cancelled,”

After, facing an avalanche of criticism from AAP, Gautam Gambhir as per his outspoken nature, wrote a big note and shared it on his Twitter account and trolled the opposition party by giving it a hilarious caption, “My work will speak for itself! P.S. Agar mujhe gaali dene se Dilli ka pollution kam hoga to AAP jee bhar ke gaali dijiye.”
