When it comes to speaking his mind out, Gautam Gambhir never shies away. The former India batsman, who was known for his gutsy attitude on the field, has made a habit of raising his voice against anything he feels is wrong. It does not matter whether it is about team selection or any step by the government, if they do not impress Gambhir then he doesn’t even think twice before expressing his displeasure over the same.

In his latest act, Gambhir has taken a shot at his usual target Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of New Delhi. Kejriwal on Saturday said he would sit on an indefinite hunger strike from March 1 to demand full statehood for the national capital. Speaking in the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal said that democracy has been implemented in the entire nation, but not the national capital.

“Public votes and selects a government, but the government has no power. So we’re starting a movement on March 1 and I’ll sit on indefinite fast for the full statehood of Delhi,” said Kejriwal.

However, Kejriwal’s decision has not gone too well with Gambhir who did not hesitate in slamming the politician once again. Time and again, the World Cup-winning star has criticised Kejriwal and did not spare him again. Gambhir took to Twitter to vent his frustration over Kejriwal’s decision. He said that Delhi had thousands of problems before criticising Kejriwal for sitting on a dharna demanding full-statehood.

“More than 2 crore people in Delhi…thousand problems.. and what a solution… Another CM @ArvindKejriwal special DHARNAA.. Shame !”

Earlier this month, Gautam Gambhir had slammed Kejriwal in the aftermath of the tragic fire at Hotel Arpit Palace in the capital’s Karol Bagh area. The fire had claimed the lives of nearly 20 people. Gambhir’s remarks against the ruling party came after the city government announced Rs 5 lakh as compensation for families.

Gambhir on Pulwama attack:

Recently, Gambhir had also given his opinion on the Pulwama attack in which 44 CRPF personnel were martyred. The legendary opener, who has time and again thrown his support behind the forces, said that it was high time to talk to Pakistan but not on a table but in the battlefield.
