Edmonton Royals continue their struggles in the Global T20 Canada 2019 as they lost all four matches they played thus far. Their batting struggled to get going in the absence of Faf du Plessis against the Vancouver Knights on Friday. Ben Cutting’s 41-ball 72 and Mohammad Nawaz’s 27-ball 40 towards the end got the Royals to a respectable total of 165/9. However, it was less to defend against the team led by Chris Gayle.

The Universe Boss got to 94 from only 44 balls as Knights chased down the target with 21 balls and six wickets in hand. Shadab Khan ended up conceding 66 runs in his four overs as Gayle himself scored 58 of them including a 32-run over. They will face Winnipeg Hawks on Saturday evening who have two wins and two losses from the four matches played.
