Ben Stokes and Paul Collingwood were recently involved in a competitive #BringSallyUpChallenge. It was a task one has to do along with the beats of the song Flower by Moby. The duo had to perform the same with push-ups. Since, Stokes is much younger to Collingwood, one couldn’t be blamed for thinking that the former would be emerging victorious hands down.

Stokes went for the paused push-ups, managing a timing of two minutes and four seconds before throwing in the towel. Stokes is one of the fittest cricketers in the England national team and it wasn’t a surprise that he displayed a stupendous amount of endurance.

Stokes threw up the challenge to former England batsman Paul Collingwood. The all-rounder captioned the video and wrote, “2mins04sec before I collapsed… @Colly622 and I are challenging people with this, see how you all get on #BringSallyUpChallemge,”

Collingwood responded to Stokes pretty quickly. Responding to Stokes, he quipped “Why did I get into this?” He then resorted to the push ups and beat Stokes, who’s 15 years younger to Collingwood, by a good 20 seconds. He didn’t forget to share the video on Instagram.

Collingwood captioned the video and wrote, “Pushhhhhh, 2m 31secs to beat everyone, especially the young ginger @stokesy….which means I’ve got another 50secs to go before I complete the whole thing (no chance) These are simple fitness exercises you can do in the confines of your own home, let’s try to get fit and improve whilst we are indoors. Good luck everyone let’s be stronger when we come out of the other side Off to rub my Vicks in, can’t move my arms,”

Stokes then congratulated Collingwood for the good work. But he didn’t give up the ghost. Rather, he went on to challenge the veteran yet another time. Stokes wrote, “Good work old man next Monday we will see who’s improved more…..my excuse is 15kg heavier.”

The lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic has made the people around the world to stay indoors. A number of cricketers have resorted to training in their backyards. They have also been posting videos where they can be seen even training with the help of trees.
