The Indian cricket team showed tremendous fighting spirit and steely resolve to beat the England side by a margin of 157 runs in the 4th Test match to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

After the first innings, the Indian side had its back against the wall. England was leading by 99 runs, and India needed to produce an excellent performance to even have a chance of giving a fight to England.

And, that is when Rohit Sharma stepped up for the Virat Kohli-led side with the willow. The ‘Hitman’ scored a masterly 127 off 256 deliveries at the top of the order and helped India post a total of 466 runs in their second innings. And, the Indian bowlers did the rest for the Virat Kohli-led side.

Chasing a target of 368 for victory, the England side was rendered clueless by the Indian bowlers. Umesh Yadav led the Indian charge with the ball, picking up 3 wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shardul Thakur scalped 2 wickets apiece, as England was bowled out for 210 runs in the second innings.
