'Great work for humanity' - Harbhajan Singh lauds Shahid Afridi for helping the underprivileged amid spread of Coronavirus

People are suffering to an extent due to Coronavirus transmission that is getting spread at a very high rate. The human life has gone off track and the most affected ones are the underprivileged and poor people. Now, Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan all-rounder has taken a strong step forward that has received applauds from the cricketing fraternity.

Coronavirus has taken several lives across the globe. This is one of the main reason due to which the governments have enforced lockdown in their countries. The health officials have requested everyone to just stay back at their home until the condition come under control. Even, they have asked the people not to go out in social gatherings and maintain social distancing from their friends and relatives.

Shahid Afridi receives applaud from Harbhajan Singh 

In such critical situation, Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan cricketer is busy in helping out the needy and the underprivileged. In the last few days, he is sharing some glimpses of the work being carried out by the Shahid Afridi foundation that was introduced in 2014 by the legendary all-rounder. He has also converted his fully equipped hospital into a quarantine centre.

The foundation is providing ration to needy and less privileged citizens in the country. As per the reports, SAF has manged to provide ration to around 2000 families until now. Recently, Shahid Afridi took to his Twitter handle and shared a still of the same.

He also gave a heartwarming caption to his post that read, “Day 3 of serving the needy: packs containing disinfectant soap, material, food & a sheet on preventative measures to take to avoid the contraction & spread of #CoronaVirus were included, with advice to stay at home. Let’s pull together & serve others too #DonateKaroNa #HopeNotOut.”

In return, Afridi accepted the gratitude from Harbhajan Singh. And, replied, “Humanity is bigger than anything! Thank you Bhajji for your kind words. The world needs to unite, it is our collective responsibility to help the poor and needy in every way possible in the global fight against #COVID2019.

Soon, Harbhajan Singh, the veteran Indian spinner applauded Shahid Afridi for helping the citizens of his country. He took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “Great work for humanity @SAfridiOfficialMay god bless us all.. more power to you.. praying for world’s well being.. Nanak naam chardikala tere bhaane sarbat da bhala.”
